A beautiful sunrise is the perfect analogy when America won the Revolutionary War, and the first democratic form of government came to power in the entire history of the world. It was the beginning of a story where the first representative form of government stumbled along to deal with growing pains of consolidating many different colonies into a united union of states with a Civil War being the first major defining moment less than a century later where succession, slavery, and sacrifice would be 4 years of peril that almost sank the continent into the abyss.  The failure of democracy would have repercussions for the future of the world. Democracy prevailed as the Civil War was won by the Union North against the Secessionist South.

In the victory of the North, the United States would move forward free and united, but this would not be the last crisis in the nation’s history. The story would be different as the seeds of economic and military power would begin to sprout in the post 1865 era in the rewards of democracy and freedom can provide to a nation and afford to it citizens in expression of their individual talents and abilities being released from the chains of aristocracy of the European age. The United States would end the 19th Century as the up and coming world power as the British Empire was still the Superpower of the time to fast forward 100 years later to end the next century as the unbridled and unmatched Superpower in the entire history of the world. The United States would be the technological and industrial engine to transform the globe into the modern age.

The thirteenth year of the new century has brought a scale of change on the global scene as America still deemed the Superpower, but a Superpower in peril and trouble is now rivaled by many countries as threat and competitors for dominance including non-nation states or cells of terrorist organizations that threaten to bring chaos and anarchy to the global stage. The worst threat to the United States is not the new competitors or terrorist threat of the age, but the economic failure of the country from the corporate, special interests, and  political elements whose greed is robbing Americans of prosperity and freedom. A new dawn of corruption is coming to light with both Republicans and Democrats being the book ends of the corruption, and the lobbyists, elites, bureaucrats, and radicals being in the middle dismantling the structure of the American as agents for the fringe of society to insure consolidation of power and money no matter the costs to democracy or the future of America.

This article is a first in a series of A New Dawn in America to discuss how the Republicans and Democrats are the arsenals of corruption, and the exposure of the corruption has been 2013. The Benghazi scandal, Censorship of Press scandal, and the flagship of scandal is the abuse of power by the IRS against the conservative groups  seeking non-profit status are the responsibility of the Democrats. The Republicans are responsible for corruption in the failure of Gun Control, Tax Reform, and Financial system as their relationships with the National Rifle Association, Financial System, Grover Norquist, and Corporate America such as Citigroup as the Republicans push policy verbatim of these special interests. Both parties are not protecting the constituents they serve, but the parties are benefiting the fringe and driving prosperity and freedom into the ground as economic growth has failed leaving employment and innovation as dust in the wind.

As a result, The American people are not able to live the American Dream as industrial might, corporation profits, and employment opportunities are outsourced to other countries, and poverty swells under 6o million, 1 in 4 are not part of the mainstream financial service society, and 55 million of Americans are on Food Stamps. The financial health of the masses are being drained, and the corruption in Washington is the first place to lay blame. The political system has bureaucrats shielded from the power check of the ballot box, Congress who is subjected to the will of the voters using social issues to drive the constituents voting power instead of being true representatives, and the Executive Branch is a growing power of government that may not have the check and balance system big enough to keep a true balance of power in place. The second of the series of A New Dawn in America will be about Citigroup writing the new bill passed in the House of Representative’s Finance Committee to remove regulatory elements on the banks as stated in the 2010 Dodd-Frank bill. Citigroup lobbyists wrote 75 lines of the 85 line bill with no protection or consumer consideration of protection of the traditional banking system or access to the consumers or small businesses who desperately needs a viable banking system. The founding fathers did not fight or made sacrifice against insurmountable odds to have a corporation writing legislation for Congress. The morals of our country has shifted where corruption is acceptable behavior of the day. The danger is the collapse of democracy in America, and this failure is a threat not only to America but the future of the globe.
